A student from Ohio said about: After leaving campus, to what extent is it a place where you can flourish/thrive?

The personalized attention, the small-town feeling, the honors opportunities, and the programs available all give me the feeling of belonging. I would thrive at BGSU in a way that I wouldn't elsewhere.

A student from Ohio said about: I believe I will be happy at this school.

I honestly felt comfortable and at ease when on campus, and that was my biggest worry about college. Yes, the course work will be hard- but I enjoy a challenge! More than that, I enjoy the atmosphere at BGSU much more than at other colleges I've visited.

A student from Ohio said about: I think I can have fun at this school.

There are clubs that will help me to have a good time, and the campus rec center looks to be amazing for relaxation and a good time. Beyond that, the program I'm interested in is one that is exciting and fun for me, so I believe that even the classroom will provide fun at BGSU.

A student from Ohio said about: I believe it will be easy to make friends and feel connected on campus.

I'm naturally shy and my interests often don't align with others as a general rule, but between the clubs on campus and the honors college opportunities I believe that I will have a fairly easy time making friends at BGSU.

A student from Ohio said about: I believe I can connect with the faculty or other staff.

The staff I met and spoke with made sure to give me personalized, one-on-one attention, and I have no reason to believe that classrooms deviate far from that standard. I honestly believe that I will be able to connect better with professors there than with professors anywhere else, and that will help me to learn and understand the material.

A student from Ohio said about: I believe this school’s environment will help me keep going through challenges I may face.

Absolutely! I was really worried about going away for college and terrified of how I was going to manage. But I walked away from BGSU not only feeling like I could manage life there but that I could be downright comfortable there. Everything on campus made me feel comfortable and at home and I couldn't ask for more than that. BGSU's atmosphere was one that I can thrive in.

A student from Ohio said about: This school will help me reach my goals.

My goal is, of course, to get the job I want and I really believe BGSU will get me there. The staff is helpful and friendly and they work to make sure that I get every edge they can offer me; from internships to rigor in the classroom.

A student from Ohio said about: This school offers student clubs and activities that I want to get involved in.

As a geek myself, BGSU's F.A.N.D.O.M Club is something I'm beyond excited about. I would fit right in there without any problems what so ever- it's right up my interest alley!

A student from Ohio said about: This school offers academic programs that I can see myself being excited about.

I was able to talk with an admissions coordinator at the college of Arts and Sciences, and she was incredibly informative and helpful. My current major is to be Graphic Design (a major that they work hard to make sure, despite the crowded field, will go a long way in the field) but I'm excited at the idea of taking courses in the Digital Arts field. The admissions coordinator knew the answers to my questions and was able to explain why their programs were the way that they were and how that was going to help me after college.

Being in the arts village will help out a lot. By working with other students who are as passionate about art as I am will help me connect with them get help easily.
