I've always loved traveling. When I was looking at schools, I wanted to find a college in a location that I could explore every day and that would be full of fun and surprises. Tulane offered this to me while also meeting my needs of a great education and wonderful business program.
Beignet festival! It's the newest festival (168th?) and was a ton of fun this year. Beignets come in all different varieties and flavors and this festival is a great place to try them all.
Although I've had many fantastic professors so far in my short time at Tulane, Toni Weiss has definitely been my favorite. I took her for introductory Micro and Macroeconomics, and she pushed every single student to understand the material as well as possible. She is incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent, and is willing to give up her time to help students if they make an effort. I enjoyed both of her classes very much and would recommend her to anyone looking for a challenge and learning experience.
