Tour Guide at Arizona State University - Tempe Campus
Class of 2020
Hometown: Chino Hills, CA
Major: Secondary Education (Math)
I love going to as many sporting events as I can while I am a student. Last semester I went to every single basketball game, and it was amazing, I even made a really good friend at one. The sporting events here at ASU are so much about community, and even when I went alone, I would find someone to talk to!
I wish I would have known that going places by yourself does not mean that you have no friends or that you're a loner. The people at ASU are so accepting and sometimes, going places by yourself is the way that you meet your best friends. I also wish I knew that getting a B in college isn't the same as getting a B in high school!
When I was looking for schools, I had seen an offer to tour the university and right when I stepped foot on the Tempe campus, I knew that this was the school for me. I toured one other school, but like the say, when you know you know, and I knew.
I would love to teach three levels of high school math. I would like to teach Algebra 2, Trig, and Calculus 1. However, I also have a passion for children as well, so I would love to be an elementary school teacher.
