I felt that I have Moved The World by...

I have felt this by participating in the two mission trips that I have gone on as well as the numerous service trips I have participated with. My time serving in both West Virginia and Peru allowed me to not only grow as an individual, but also be able to give back to those in need. I was able to develop relationships with those I encountered on the trips and I felt that I was able to positively impact those that I met.

What has been your most memorable experience at Iona?

My most memorable experience here at Iona was the Kairos retreat. I went on the retreat without knowing what to expect, and it truly impacted me and allowed me to develop in my faith.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is the Montgomery House. I lived there my junior year so I hold nothing but great memories from my time living in that house. In addition, every Thursday there is a free Hospitality dinner for any student so it is a nice way to meet new people and get away from the school work for that time during dinner.

I chose to attend Iona College because...

I chose Iona due to the feeling of home I had once I stepped onto campus. Iona is such a warm and welcoming place where everyone is friendly and kind to one another. Walking through campus you will see so many people that you know as well as those you don't, but everyone will say hi or give a smile. I also chose Iona because of the class size. I didn't want to be lost in a 200 person size lecture hall, and here at Iona the classes are small where you get to know the people in your class as well as develop a relationship with your professor.
