My favorite places in Tampa include Davis Island, a small beach about 10 minutes from campus, and SoHo a great dining district with many of my favorite places to eat including Green Lemon, Daily Eats, and Bulla.
I chose UT because of the small class sizes and amazing opportunities I foresaw in the Tampa Bay Area that UT would be able to facilitate. I have found since starting here at UT that the faculty here is truly an asset that students benefit from due to the small class sizes and many opportunities arise from relations made with the Professors.
My favorite class at UT within my major was ACC 202 (financial accounting). It was the first accounting class I took and it cemented in my mind that it was what I was meant to study and make a career out of. Outside of my major COM 224 (Mass Media and Society) was one of the most fun and interesting classes I have taken where I learned how different media platforms have affected how society functions today.
The Tampa ares has so many opportunities for students and after an internship with a firm just across the river from UT in downtown Tampa, my goal after school is to get a job near by and get my CPA while finishing my Masters Degree. Eventually down the road, I would love to one day work as a forensic accountant in the FBI.
