I chose the University of New Haven for three reasons: 1. They had the major I wanted to pursue. 2. When I walked on campus I immediately felt like I was at home. 3. The University of New Haven has a satellite campus in Tuscany, Italy and my biggest dream was to study abroad there and further my knowledge of Italian language and culture. My experience during my freshman semester was something irreplaceable and I will always be thankful that the University of New Haven gave me that opportunity! 4. I also studied in the Music Department's Nashville Study Away Program which was an amazing opportunity that I will never forget.
My favorite class currently at the University of New Haven is my Audio Post Production class because I want to be a re-recording mixer when I grow up! In this class we talk all about how important the role of sound engineers is with syncing sound to picture and making sure the final mix is balanced well between the dialogue, music and sound effects.
My favorite place on campus is Studio A in Dodds Hall. It is like my second home! I am constantly in the studio for hours a week working on school projects and projects of my own. I love working with the outboard gear and recording to tape.
