I chose the University of New Haven because it felt like the perfect fit for me. The National Security program caught my attention and the more I learned about the school the more I loved it. It's close enough to home that I can go home on the weekends but not too close, and the size is exactly what I was looking for.
My favorite place on campus is the library. It allows for some serious studying on the quiet floor, meeting with classmates and friends in the cafe, and working on group projects and study groups on the group study floor.
My favorite class at the University of New Haven is Homeland Security and Terrorism. My main career interest is counterterrorism and this class addressed it in detail. The professor was amazing, which made the class even better. I was always excited to go to this class and it furthered my interest in a career in counterterrorism.
