My first homecoming carnival! My friends and I had a blast homecoming weekend. We had lots of fun, won prizes, and made some great memories.
I chose UMBC because of the amazing opportunities provided by the university. For example, there are tons of amazing opportunities for new experiences and learning through the Linehan Scholars Program. Things like study abroad, research grant, and internship opportunities are also an incredible aspect of UMBC.
Spend time or study out and about! I met so many people and discovered lots of hidden gems just by exploring campus in my first few weeks, and I also felt even more connected to the campus community,
Keep yourself open to opportunities and new experiences. College is what you make of it, so remember that you truly can thrive anywhere. Keep in mind the community you want in college, and find a school where you feel truly supported and welcomed.
