Reach out to your professors and advisors about opportunities inside this school and outside of it! So many options are available to you here, and the faculty are a great resource to find out about them.

What makes UMBC home?

The people! I've made so many connections here. My friends are great and I've been fortunate to have many helpful professors that are always willing to chat not just about classwork, but about what it's like to work rin my field.

My UMBC hack is...

Join student orgs! It's so cool to get involved and organize events on campus. In that same vein: go to events on campus! Especially the Dog Collar Improv shows.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

I'm really loving my Typography class with Suzanne Marshall! She's clearly very knowledgeable about graphic design and she has a lot of experience working in the field. I'm learning a lot in her class about type history, current industry standards, and the most practical ways to approach designing with type.
